K–6th grades Celebrate Grandparents' Day
Thursday, October 17
Grandparents are welcome to eat lunch in our cafeteria with their grandchild during the class’s normal lunch time (lunch schedules are below). You can purchase an entree' for $2.50, side items are an extra cost or you can bring your own. Please notify the elementary office by Tuesday, October 15 if you plan to purchase. And don't forget to sign in the elementary office as a visitor before going to lunch with your child.

Note: There is no scheduled activity between lunch and the program.
Program will be begin @ 1:00p in the GBC auditorium.
Following the program you will be able to visit your student's classroom, get your picture taken with your student and visit our Scholastic Book Fair!
PK- 6th Coin Drive & Book Fair
M–F, October 7-11, Coin Drive

Our coin drive is a competition between the classes to see who can bring in the most coins. We will let parents know more info as the time get closer.
Our coin drive is also to kick–off our Scholastic Book Fair that will be October 14-18. The money from the coin drive and book fair help our school purchase books for our library and classrooms.

Come support your school by attending this fun event! Tickets are purchased at the door. Admission is $4 adults, $3 students, and HHCS staff and students are free.

Parent Teacher Conferences
Monday, October 28 • 12:30 – 6:30p
Please call the ELEMENTARY OFFICE (765-213-2242) to schedule your appointment. If you have more than one student, we will try to schedule consecutive times for you.
GRADES 7-12 will be in session all day until 3:15 p.m. Conferences may be scheduled from 3:30 – 6:30p with specific teachers as needed.

NO BETTER WAY TO GIVE!!!
Friends who are age 70 1/2 can choose to maximize their Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) by making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). Gifts given directly to a QCD are not included in your adjusted gross income AND you can receive a 50% State Tax Credit on the gift.
QCDs would include Heritage Hall, Sagamore (our SGO scholarship fund), and Community Foundation (Teacher Endowment Fund). For more information, see IRS publication 590B or check with your tax advisor.
