Admission Requirements
Heritage Hall Christian School views education primarily as the task of edifying children. In other words, the school exists to aid parents who are committed to the Lord, as they move their child forward in his spiritual and academic development. Because the thrust is one of building up believers, students who are unsaved, unchurched, or spiritually-unaligned would find themselves out-of-step and out-of-place if they were enrolled. In admitting students, Heritage Hall seeks students who are saved, committed to the Lord, and faithful to the local church (Amos 3:3).
These principles are specified in the general guidelines that follow.
We desire for Heritage Hall Christian School to be a joyful place for children. Children should want to learn. There must be both a spiritual and academic challenge to the program, but students must also enjoy their time on the campus. They must realize that this kind of preparation is vital to their service to God and their personal joy in this life. The administration and staff are dedicated to providing a very high quality of both spiritual and academic education. This is our service.
These principles are specified in the general guidelines that follow.
- HHCS exists primarily for the edification of the faithful families who attend a Bible-believing church. We desire that HHCS and families maintain a unity of mind and spirit regarding doctrine, philosophy, and standards for worship. While HHCS maintains open enrollment in the elementary to all families who are willing to adhere to the school guidelines, the school will give greater consideration to church affiliation as the grade levels increase. In the high school, HHCS students must be saved and attend a Bible-believing church. Applicants for 7th–12th grades will be enrolled with the understanding of this high school requirement.
- The parents should demonstrate their love for the Lord, commitment to spiritual growth, and desire to train their children by faithfully attending a Bible-believing church.
- HHCS may consider for admission secondary students who have accepted Christ as Savior, have the support of their parents, are living a life demonstrating commitment to the Lord, and have demonstrated themselves to be faithful to the services of Grace Baptist Church or a Bible-believing church, regardless of their family's attendance. Should admission be granted, the student must continue to demonstrate faithful church attendance.
- HHCS only admits a student who transfers from the former school in good standing. The school is not designed to meet the special needs of students with unusual behavior, spiritual, academic, social, or physical problems. In evaluating a potential student, admission testing and interviews are customarily required.
- While not tied to re-enrollment Heritage Hall Christian School requires that each applicant in grades 7-12 express a desire to attend. In addition, students must willingly sign the Statement of Faith and Standards of Conduct agreement. At HHCS we seek to set and maintain standards for student conduct, dress, philosophy of life, procedures, and scholarship that honor the Lord and demonstrate a spirit of excellence.
- HHCS admits students in good standing who are transferring from other Christian or private schools only after their former school bill has been paid in full.
- HHCS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, and national or ethnic origin.
