We value music at Heritage Hall as a vital part of our students' academic and spiritual development. We offer music programs for every age group and skill level. Playing or singing music is one of the the best "full brain" activities that can be developed. Learning to sing, play, and read music allows students to make connections in every area of study and thus reinforces the mental bridges that are being made. This leads to better retention of material and better grades.
We also believe that it is the responsibility of every believer to be a contributing member in their local church. By teaching each student to understand and value music, they can be a better and more active participant in the musical element of church worship. Just like we want to produce well-rounded students, we also want to produce well-rounded Christians. We are pleased to offer the following programs. • Preschool through 4th grade general music • 4th grade recorder class • 4th and 5th grade elementary choir (required) • 5th grade beginner band (required) • Middle school band - grades 6–8 (required for grade 6) • Middle School Choir (required for grades 6–8) • High school band • High school choir • Sounds of Heritage touring ensemble. |
