It is never too early to start planning for college. Financial aid is available, but it is often difficult to navigate the maze of information. Sometimes knowing where to start is the hardest part. Recently the "Financial Aid Resources" file was made available to us by a visiting college representative, and we are pleases to be able to share it with you.

Horatio Alger Career and Technical Education Scholarship. Open to U.S. citizens under the age of 30 who are Pell Grant eligible, have completed high school by spring 2020, and are enrolled in a 2-year or less career or technical degree/certificate program in fall 2020 at a not-for-profit post-secondary institution.
Scholarships available for students desiring to enroll in a Certified Nursing Assistant training program. The amount awarded for the scholarships is $500 each. The deadline to apply for the CNA Classes Near Me scholarship is on September 21 and CNA Free Training scholarship is April 2.

Many of these programs are free as they are funded by the U.S. Department of Labor or state equivalent agencies.
